this is great, ive been dealing with how i was gonna get everything done for months, i cant thank you enough. will i be able to just copy the second directory when i add another and so on in the same board? im gonna start putting others in different boards so just paste the code part without the content

1. chris im having such problems with tables, widths, and divs is it possible to just put in one title bar instead of the two, its screwed up again.

2. i was gonna go back to michaels index because i was having these problems and i love that live search. and i liked directory script better because i can see where you enter the threads and ids better. i wont be entering thousands of threads anymore todge is making me a thumbnail preview code. is a live search possible. if not then no. his doesnt work with more than one and its generic in the way it just calls it code index and you cant rename stuff
after any of this we can go with the easy stuff after there

multiple, i like everything on the left there. i wanted to get rid of support. im really only gonna be using them to sort by actress and date now, so i wouldnt need posters or date. theres just gonna be links to threads i start so i wouldnt need view posters. and i do this all the time i can never think straight but theres just gonna be links to threads with text as the description, those cant be found in the search can they? or i can have todge change the text to links if they can still be found by the search

i want all content to open in a new window, which is just gonna be the years next to the numbers which i wouldnt need either. colons and dashed lines i dont like, you can remove the colons and just make the line solid.
im glad i got your attention rite away and your quick adjustments. my site does revolve around this, people can easily find stuff and dont have to go thru 100s of pages looking for older pics they mite wanna see. thanks aaron

Just so we're on the same page,Remove Posters.
Sort by date, but don't include date in the lists.
Remove the colons and replace the dashed lines.

the actresses names will link to years ill enter in the code, there wont be any normal threads. just years in the thread titles i only start. i wont really need sort by date ill just enter in the years manually in each actresses category
ill have todge make the text description i had into links, which will be the thread title, that i was worried if the search would find. ill edit

So you'll only be entering dates and thread ids? i.e.
"Actress's Name": {
[ "2009", "21443" ],
[ "2008", "21641" ]
}
When they click a date, they go to a thread with a series of thumbnails and descriptions, aye?
As for the search, it works with the info on the page that it's in. I can't pull info from another page (the thread with thumbnails).
The best I can do is create individual searches in each of the thumbnail threads. This is practical if you're including multiple links/actresses in your threads.
How will the thumbnail threads be set up? Is it one 2010 thread with all the actress links from that year (sorted, of course)? Or a different 2010 thread for each actress?

yea thats what im doing
i have the 2 forums, A to M and N to Z. each actress will have their own year breakdown.
the forums in the middle will be like, photoshoots, paparazzi, screencaps, events for each individual actresses forum and then each of those sections gets there own year list
now that i wrote that out i wont even need more than one directory in one board since im just linking to years now. you put the scrollbar in i used to have 2 directories for the all celebs section the list was so long and can get rid of the 5 in individual forums

I can't do the search that way (at least not live) unless you manually input the descriptions. I'll talk to Chris and see if he knows of a clever work-around, though.
