Resources aren't available to guests there. You should change that shit. There? I can't really do shit. Here? that's where most of our activity comes from, and requiring registration would diminish the activity.

What makes you think activity would diminish? It's working for SI, and SZ has a LOT of resources you can't easily find [substitutes for] elsewhere. I think people would be more than happy to sign up.

Member count does not infer activity. A spammy intro board does not mean activity either.

Lots of activity? Though the general talk board does tend to be more "active" than SZ, the topics are of less quality/interest to me =P EDIT: Yeah I see you there, being invisible. (pic)

I say we give it a shot, Chris. Make the resources member only and see what happens on like a month-two month basis. It would force people to join and maybe become active.

Josh: I explained to you over MSN why we wouldn't and I'm sticking by that. Our resource boards will always be public. Simie: We also averaged only slightly less posts/day than you for the last 3 months. What's your point? Users on per day just means how many are coming for resources and then leaving.

Hah, sweet. Could you tell me how many new members SI gets a day? I always try and remember to count, but never remember =P

I'm just throwing this out there... Chris's stat tracking tables are just about the greatest thing he has ever done. Should be a default feature of Proboards.
