1.) Downloadable, not that's on 1 website that no one has heard about. 2.) Has graphics, and can entertain you longer than 5 minutes, usually has levels or a reason to play it (multiplayer) 3.) Usually made by a company, and not by 1 guy using flash. I bet you play Farmville... Also, by your definition, Tetris isn't a game...

For the same reason I used to do it, no doubt. A lot of people tend to stick with someone's actual, full username until they get to know them better. I used to be Lucifer, but most people just know me as Luci now. Same thing with your name. People (or at least I) think it's more proper to address you by your username instead of your "nickname".
