Ok, well I'm taking charge of the awards seeing as it's almost the end of January, and we said we would have them sometime after the new year. Plus I want something constructive to do. So here at the categories I have thought up so far, feel free to throw some more ideas my way, but remember we want awards that won't hurt someone's feelings, so things like "worst blahblahblah" I don't think would be good. Categories so far: Staff Only- Admin Only

So those are the ones that I could think of. I did get some ideas from Scribbles 'N' Such and the old Zanmato Design. How this will work, is that once we got all the categories we want, I will most the categories in the Announcements, then, members, and staff can nominate 1-2 people for each category, they will post the nominations, yes you will be able to nominate yourself. When it comes to voting, members & staff will send all their votes to me, for each category, and I will tally them up, and then have whatever designer does the award banners put together the banners for the winners, then I will post the winners. This thread will stay in here for 2-3 days, I will then make a thread in Announcements, nominations will be open for 1 week. Then voting will take process for another week. So awards will be up in approximately 3 weeks. I would really love it if Joe or CD would give me the power to go ahead and mass email members so I can compose an email with details. This is a great way to remind members that they have a account, a great way to get a lot of our members back. I need to get the email out ASAP, so I would really appreciate it Chris or Joe, whoever reads this first. So that's how it's working, any suggestions for more categories?

If you're gonna copy and paste that, change "succeed" and "inspirational" to their correct spellings. Well, since it's gonna be a big awards thing and all that, I had to proofread it.
And is "Beat All Around Staff" supposed to be "Best"?
Anyway, I say take a lot of the awards off. We don't want too many categories. If we have too many, people'll either ignore a lot of sections out of laziness (I know I would), won't know what to put, or the awards'll seem like they mean less if you have a title for everything.
Other than that, it's good, and we should do this as soon as possible. =/

There were only typos because I retyped the whole thing. Anyways, I talked with Kay about it, and we're going to ask members for more topics/ideas tomorrow, and then start nominations on Tuesday. As for having too many topics, they don't have to fill in everyone or anything.

As for having too many topics, they don't have to fill in everyone or anything. So, then someone could win an award because only one person voted in that category...kinda cheap. Or someone may not win at all because no one bothered to fill that one section in.

EDIT: I also added "Most Funniest"

That idea could work. I just don't want the awards to be cluttered, I guess.
Also, "most funniest" is redundant. You could put either "most funny" or "funniest." Just proofreading it again. =P
