I have a bevel and emboss effect on the background of an image that I'm creating, and I was wondering if there was any way to make it so that only one or two sides are affected. I'm trying to make head, base, and background images, so I for the head image, I want the bevel and emboss on the top, left, and right, for the background images, on the left and right, and for the base, on the left, bottom, and right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

See the Bevel option under Blending Options allows u to do exactly that - choose either a smooth inner bevel or a smooth emboss, then select the angle accurately - for a top emboss - go with 90 degrees. a -90 degrees for bottom emboss, 180 degrees for a left emboss and a 0 degrees for a right emboss. Play around with the depth - activate anti-aliasing. play first wit the other settings there then wit the highlight and shadow modes below.
