I got this a couple days ago on a dA page, I cant remember which, so I can't credit the person. I screenied it for my own sake, but figured it would be good for everyone else to use.

I still say graphics should appear just right on any monitor using default settings.

They should, if your monitor is LCD or whatever, but for those that don't use LCD, and have one of those big ass ones, like I did until like a year ago, they appear much darker.

Then you need to alter your settings slightly. =D

For it me it just depends on how I have my laptop tilted.
