Specifically MGS4. The hour long cutscene really did it for me. No way has any game made a 1hr cut scene..  No, that actually happened. The game (from what I understand; I never played it myself) was very story driven, and that was accomplished via cut scenes. One in particular was literally about an hour long.

v3 was better than v2. And all version after, sucked. Who the heck gave Oliver the rights to do what he wanted?! We're talking about ZD, not SSD, pretty sure. Zanmato?

.... ironic. But anyways. MIT tried something lame and announced that "Life of Pi 2" would be filmed at MIT. Yeah, stupid. A Brilliant Mind 2 would be more believable. *A Beautiful Mind?

Why not play games to have both? 1 reason and 1 reason alone: I want to PLAY not watch. I bought a GAME to PLAY. You're implying that games are solely an interactive experience, despite the obvious fact that games have become both a passive and interactive experience for the combined effect of telling a story, partially through movies and cut scenes and partially through your own actions. I get that you may only like them for the interactive part of it, but the simple fact is that that's not what games are, nor have they been for decades, so I don't understand why you would even expect that. Besides, even if you don't give a shit about the story, you're missing out on some great cinematic artistry by skipping the cut scenes outright.

Yeah, some games have shitty stories, or useless stories. But then there's games like Bulletstorm. While the story is fairly generic, the cutscenes are pure fucking gold. Not only is the writing hilarious, but Steven fucking Blum voices the lead role.

I was gonna make a new thread because I forgot about this one, but I just wanted to bump this since the game is out and I've been tearing it up for about a week. I dig the shit out of this game.

30 days of absolutely no activity (no one logging in). I think that's fair if they put it into MM and never came back to it. 1-2 years is forever! Yeah, I don't get how you can skip the storylines. There's a lot of really good ones. Games like Mass Effect wouldn't be half as popular if it wasn't for the storyline, or Final Fantasy VIII. I dunno if I necessarily have a favorite, but I definitely appreciate a good storyline.

Stupid slow internet!
I definitely like this project and want to hear more. Industrialized Disturbed works quite well, though it still sounds like Disturbed (the unfortunate side-effect of having such a distinctive voice). I'd like to see how far they can pull themselves away from that sound to be something different. I'm pretty pumped for the album to be released. I love the one single I have downloaded.
