Welcome to the Studio mem. Feel free to ask me or open up a discussion in the FX exchange board if you want to talk more about designing and Chris and Aaron can give you a hand in the coding department. :)

Just a question. Did you guys skins get copied much?

We had about 15 websites copying our v1:ex skin. Don't know about the v2:module though. Chris will be able to give you the full stats. :)

This will quickly turn into a Mac vs. PC discussion :P

What I intend to do. :)
For me the main reason was stability. My old windows 7 crashes like mad and I have to reformat it every 3 months to keep it running alive.

You can't game on macs. If they ran all the games I like, I'd have one by now.

Xuzi: I play TF2, CS: Source and Starcraft 2 and Diablo 2 on my mac platform. I still get to go online and kick some arse. Isn't that good enough? :)

+ Good, sturdy build
+ Backlit keyboard
+ Long battery life
+ Lightweight
+ Relatively Stable OS system

The best of all, selective screenshot built-in!

Go Command-Shift-4 to get a crossbar with X and Y axis to get pinpoint screenshots

Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window to screenshot a particular window

Command-Shift-3 to get a full screenshot.

All screenshot saved as high quality PNG automatically.

Macs FTW :P, should've got this when designing SZv1 and v2 baby!

It seems that Proboards have a interesting design trend as of lately. If you look at many of the RPG boards in Proboards Support many of the admins/designers are opting for a side table on the left with various bits of information while retaining the original Proboards layout.

Just to get the balls rolling in this thread, what do you think of the designs of this new trend? Lovely? Bad? Horrendous?

Free free to post the designs of other's board (or even your own) as a point of discussion of the design. Please note that the no advertising rule still applies and if you want genuine opinions of your board personally, please post them in the Personal Showcase :)

You can do that a little but they will stop you...

Yeah...they got strict with the rules now days.

Back when I made my first forum. I rounded a few buddies of mine and spammed almost 24/7 on the board. Tripled our initial post counts within a day and got huge hits on our boards :D, total rampage.

On the question of this article. What is your personal preference to advertise your own forum: Nightcodes? :) Do you still feel that the word of mouth is the best advertisement?

Psh, you people are stupid. You don't need to hide FB privacy, you leave it wide open and create other fake accounts that post things on your profile like:

"Hey Eric, it was really heroic how you risked your life to pull me out of my burning car right before it exploded. Always in your debt, ...."

"Eric, awesome job on those TPS reports the other day, your work is outstanding. Anyone would be lucky to have you as an employee!"

Bag 'em and tag 'em.

Man, you sounded like an Cyanide and Happiness comic there Eric...very nice! :D

Aryna. Is it alright to tell us what your job description involves? Got any cool upcoming web projects? :)

Just to make sure that it is an IE problem. Can you check the site using other browsers, such as in Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera please? :)

Only in English because it is the original interface language. I do use Chinese and Japanese at times but it seems really unnatural to me as those interface translations seemed off (in the case of Japanese, it sounds TOO polite!).

Got an example of how polite it is?

I can't find a fine example now...but it always adds "-さん" (-san) behind each name. Such as Chrisさん, Joshさん, Joeさん...

I know it is normal in Japan to do this but darn...adding honoriffics after getting so used to English just calling everyone by their First names directly feels a bit too polite for me.

Holy, guy with a bad sense of style, look super cheesy with a shirt of a tiger. Smiling like he just shagged some dude with 2 relatively hot girls?

Yes, he does deserved to be punched. Then again, he is the kind of guy whom geeks want to be in a wet dream xD

(FYI, no idea whom Mike Cera is, will look him up in Wiki later)

Nah, only when Google decided to dominate YouTube.

And after that, Google video is now in a slow, painful death.

Didn't similar happen to Google Wave. Not many people were up to using it and now they are taking it offline? =/

Firstly, Anyra. Congrates on getting the job.

Secondly..I still feel having FB interview is wierd. As Chris have mentioned: The chat glitches and the inability to log the interview.

At least the company was already consider hiring you. If a dental clinic hired me via this way, I would struck them off my list of employers and find the next clinic.
