What's your view on project Natal? This is a nice innovation made by Microsoft..

Here's a demo:

Looks awesome btw... no more remote required, just move your body, baby! ;D

It's not an innovation from Microsoft... It's an improvement on PlayStation's EyeToy. I bet it's not as smooth as the demo either.

Microsoft bought a company which was working on this, so its not fully by them ;)

Still looks pretty nice though.

Honestly, from what I've seen Lionhead Studios do with Project: Natal, I must say I'm impressed and can't wait to see it fully implemented.

I want it!!

At the same time, I am very much saving up for PS3... (For God of War III)... I am confused on what to buy now... :(

Looks pretty impressive if they can get it to work as well as the video shows.

It's got potential, but it's going to be difficult to implement in some video games. For example, take an online shooter like... Halo: Fall of Reach. (Not yet out, but it's coming. :P) In this case, how would you move? You can't expect the user to run forward in the room.... they'll eventually run into the TV. You can maybe do a pedal system.... right pedal is move forward, left pedal is move backwards. Left and right? Turning so they're still facing the TV? DDR pad style maybe? Either way, the user's who opt to use a controller have the advantage.

Overall, it'll be awesome. It just needs some work.

Halo: Fall of Reach
You got the book and the game confused there, mister. "Halo: Reach" is the game. "The Fall of Reach" is the book.

I do believe that Natal will have dedicated games and won't replace the controller. Some things you can't do with motion sensing and voice, just like there are things you can't do with the controller.

However, we might see games that have Natal functionality as an extra feature.

I think not all games are compatiible with Natal....

Wait, they're having existing games work with natal? wouldn't it work far better if they just developed new games for it

Graveith: Whoops, my bad. I thought they had the same name. >.<

SO: My bet is they'll release small updates to make some games compatible with Natal. Like I'm betting they release a new Burnout update to make it compatible... since they've got it almost done. The only issue is that companies are greedy, so they'll probably release second editions. =/

My view on this is, that if it works great and is easy to use and your body movements are correct on the screen, this will be the next thing to knock off the wii. I hope it does, the wii sucks.
