These are the phones of America? Wow. You're still in the dark ages? xD
But for $30, you can't complain I suppose.

My brother had this phone. The sliding mechanism lasted, maybe, 2 months. Was not pretty.

Tracfones...dear god. I think it's weird when I see someone who doesn't have a smart phone these days, let alone a tracfone.

Tracfones...dear god. I think it's weird when I see someone who doesn't have a smart phone these days, let alone a tracfone. Tracfone is actually better than most (based on the coverage and phones). Much better than virgin mobile, and AT&T's coverage sucks donkey pickle. Verizon charges monthly, and still doesnt have as good of coverage. $19 every 3months is decent for me. Plus good sound quality, and decent phone. As for the slider lasting 2 months, he must have slided it too hard, or the phone was defective. Samsung make very good quality products, and sliders only break if you abuse them, or use them too often (such as sliding up and down 100 times a day) EDIT: For the ones that cant tell it slides: 4.bp.blogspot.com/_sztXx_S0p6w/SkUKu88he8I/AAAAAAAAAAY/avkYXpJlJk8/s400/mobile-phone_SGH-t301_features_kv.jpgYeah, um...what?

Samsung does have good products. I have a Samsung Impression. Doesn't mean their cheap line of products is full quality, though.
As for better coverage... you do realize that Tracfone piggybacks on either Sprint or AT&T, right? Unless things have changed, they do not have their own network. They roam on Sprint or AT&T (no different than if you're on T-Mobile and lose T-Mobile coverage, your phone will search for an AT&T signal. Same goes for Sprint and Verizon.) So, basically, Tracfone's coverage is only as good as the major networks it uses.
And before you say I have no idea what I am talking about, I was on Tracfone for four years. My brother and sister for two more after I left (they just got a family plan with my mom on Sprint a few weeks ago)

I know loads of people that use Tracfone, what is it? No plan. You buy minutes/units. 1 unit usually equals 1 minute of talk time and 3 minutes of internet and 3 texts. Cheap phones too.

I'll stick with my Storm 1 for the time being. Works fine for now, despite I know there are definitely better phones out... including Storm 2.

heh. This thread was totally for the me from before October. And oddly enough, the last non-smartphone I used was indeed a Samsung. As of now, though, I'm stuck on this god-awful iPhone until my next paycheck. Then it's Evo 4G for me. ^_^
