Yeah, but with most new stuff Google brings out, it'll be un-undoable soon. Rolling back will only work for so long. Until Google decide that you want it.

Got any examples of that happening?

I turned that shit off, anyway. I don't know why you'd want it on, Joe. Just wanted to see what all the shits and giggles have been about Luci. All the internet news and cool gadgets are released in your place while New Zealand won't be able to see it until about a year later.

Got any examples of that happening? • iGoogle tabs along the left-hand side. • Removing Insights from the YouTube home page. • Permanent connection between Google account and YouTube account.

Yeah, now you can't disconnect them. Say if you move over to Yahoo. You can't change the email. Closure of a Google account will close your YouTube account too.

I thought that was how it was to begin with, though...

Nah, only when Google decided to dominate YouTube. And after that, Google video is now in a slow, painful death. Didn't similar happen to Google Wave. Not many people were up to using it and now they are taking it offline? =/

Not many people were up to using it and now they are taking it offline? =/ Pretty much every feature of Wave is being integrated into other Google services, though. It was always one of their pet projects. If it worked, great. If not, they gained priceless code that can be used to make their other products more valuable and more feature-rich. It was basically what the Courier was for Microsoft, just on a much smaller scale. The Courier was scrapped, but we sure as hell will see that tech in future products. I'd bet a lot of them make their way into the WP7/Zune/Xbox environments over the next year or two.

I'm currently on beta for Google Call (or something) free calls to ALL US/CA land phones. They are trying to compete with Skype.

I'm currently on beta for Google Call (or something) free calls to ALL US/CA land phones. They are trying to compete with Skype. Google Voice and Google Talk. It's a standard feature here in the US. Every US Android cell phone comes with it preinstalled. Same with all Gmail accounts now.
