Sign ups will close on Saturday the 21st of AprilWell, time to get this coding contest up and running. I'm a bit late, but my homework took me longer then I thought it would. Anyways, here's what the general rules and layout of the contest will be like. 1. The code must be under 1,500 lines, give or take a few. Comments do not count towards the total, however, doing things like "blah.prop = 1; blah.prop2 = 'blah';" on the same line counts as two lines. I will go more in depth with these rules once the contest goes live. 2. The code must have some form of profile editable feature, even if only for the admin. I will give a few hints and tricks once the contest is live. 3. The contest will be divided into two groups: advanced and beginner. I will decide the placements. If not enough people are entered, some of the beginner's might have to compete in advanced. 4. You'll have 6 weeks from the official opening of the contest to complete your code. You can start before the contest opens if you wish. 5. You may use open source snippets such as Peter's and Dregond's codes to add profile options. These will not count towards your total lines as long as they are not part of your code directly. I'll explain this more later. That's just the general rules. If you wish to try and get a rule changed, let me know. I'll explain more on what has to be done later to make the code valid. Fancy features may help your score, but the coding depends on how it looks and executes. I don't care about DOM vs innerHTML in this contest. It is your preference. Anyways, here's the sign up form. Name: What group you think you're in: (Advanced or Beginner) Three of your best works: (Must be viewable to guests or SZ members, links preferred) 1. 2. 3. Suggestions/comments: Just post it here. If you wish to advertise the contest to other users, you can place any these images in your sig. I'd recommend linking them to this thread also. Right now, chances are prizes will be something along the lines of 7 or 14 credits for a forum of your choice, free hosting at SZ, etc. I'm not sure yet. If you have suggestions for those, feel free to give them.

You know I can't resist these Name: Ross What group you think you're in: Advanced Three of your best works:Maybe not my best, but they're the first 3 I could think of All should be in the PB database and I think the first two are posted here too. 1. Money Hack v3 2. Users Online Today 3. Info Center 102 Suggestions/comments:For the code, will we be allowed to use a backend DB to store/retrieve data from? Or will all info have to be stored as either cookies or in existing elements? It's been a while since I've done any big ProBoards codes though so I hope I can remember what I'm doing

I'll let you know on that soon. Right now I'm not quite sure, as originally I decided no, but thinking about it, maybe if only in the advanced it could be a yes.
Also, sign ups close on the 21st.
