So from March 5-9 in San Francisco, there was another gaming convention, and what with E3 being downsized, people need something to talk about. First, off, it seems that Sony is finally doing something right with Kutaragi out of the main picture, as they announced both Home and LittleBigPlanet, with Home being a sort of life simulator similar to Second Life (same team's working on it), and LBP being an actual retail game that's sort of a world-managing/creating thing. I'd describe it, but hey, why not just give out links? www.gamespot.com/events/gdc07/story.html?sid=6166926Shortened link that was really long about LBPCool. Besides that, there were some awards given out. Gears of War took home most of the awards, Twilight Princess took a couple, and there were more (Okami, GHII, etc.). www.gamespot.com/events/gdc07/story.html?sid=6167061&tag=latestnews;title;0Other than that, there were pretty much just playable demos of upcoming games, including a new, slick trailer for Super Mario Galaxy. Oh yeah, and Nintendo announced when they were (about time, too) officially putting up online multiplayer, which'll start in June. And since I'm in such a link-giving mood, here's a directory of everything you may or may not be interested in: www.gamespot.com/events/gdc07/index.html?tag=event_nav;headerwww.ign.com/index/gdc/2007/index.html
