An easy tutorial "eye" came up with the other day. Difficulty: 1/5 Step 1: Copy this image and paste it into Paint.NET. www.buytaert.net/cache/images-miscellaneous-2006-eye-500x500.jpgStep 2: Use the lasso tool to select only the actual part of the eye with the pupil and the color. Do not outline the white. (The outline does not have to be PERFECT) Step 3: Go to Adjustments > Black and White Step 4: Keep the selection and make a new layer. Double click on the layer in the layer window. Set it to Overlay. (keep the opacity at whatever it is at) Step 5: Now with the selection still there, choose a color. Now, with the paintbrush, color in the iris. (colored part) It does not have to be perfect. Step 6: Go to Effects > Blurs > Unfocus. Set it to about 8. You should have something like this: wimg.co.uk/bn0Fwi.gif(of course a different color you chose) Step 7: With your selection still in tact, hit ctrl + i. This should invert your selection. Step 8: Go to Adjustments > Black and White again. What you have now should look something like this: wimg.co.uk/IXTPOp.gifI hope you enjoy the tutorial. Feel free to use this technique for other things.

Abstractly, it's sound. But the colours run off the image if it isn't abstract.

Yeah it looks good, but there are some spots where the color just kind of, stops? Might I suggest a gradient?

Just popping in, I gotta laugh.
Because of what version skin i'm using, the rating Icon shows up as "Difficulty: (1/5 Very Bad).
You might just want to put 1/5 though.
