- Great community
- Thriving design and art category
- Programming/web developing section
- Premade graphics and codes (guests can access)
- Sleek layout

dntresources.com

It's done after about 2 months of work. Special thanks to help from Taylor, Jack-Attack, Wrighty, Triad, and a few others. The skin is meant to be simplistic and sleek, focusing more on coding than images. There is a speed version and a full version for loading times.

Any rates/cc/etc are welcomed :)

edit:
I'd also like critique on the new feature I created, the code index. There's a hit counter, code definitions onmouseover, a rating system, live search, and some other goodies.

I like it. I really do. Though there is no reason why I shouldn't because I gave opinions for like a month on it. :P

:: rate5 ::

I can't find a weak spot anywhere. Though I rarely give out this ranking, I think it is well deserved.

My problem isn't so much with the skin, but more the fact that it is a "resource" board, and there are no resources. And Yes, I know, you just opened. But I've seen resource forums open with at least 50 resources to begin with.

Also, if you hover over the rank image in the mini profile, it spazed flashy, and then has [image]. Probably a bug with your image rollover script.

No announcement for the forum opening? :o

As for the template itself, not bad. Very simple and sleek. Definitely your style Devin, assuming you designed it. :P

I think you should put announcement links on the right side of the banner parallel to the menu. Think it would look good there, and be very functional.

Anyways, serious get some resources. :P

Maybe then I'll feature this, but for now, sorry. :P

Haha, I was planning on posting all the features late tonight when all of the activity died down. There will prob be 100+ codes by tomorrow, and myself and Alusion will start adding some GFX resources.

I'll go ahead and post a now open thread as well

Whatever :P It isn't a big deal to me. There's a lot that will happen between then and now though

Well honestly for a resource site, there isn't much to show for now, but I'm sure you'll fill it up soon. :P

Yeah we've been busting our balls. It's a little more filled now, I spent today working on adding some codes and I'll get to the graphics in a bit.

I changed up the background a bit, the wrapper is a bit lighter to provide a bit more contrasts for users with older monitors as that has been the biggest problem with the template so far.

Bug: Mark all boards as read link is available to guests.

The yellow font in the header text for DnT Resources is a bit bright... also, you guys are inconsistent. It's "dnt" in the header, but the page title is "DnT" and so is this thread title. Pick one. Stick with it please. :P

How does the miniprofile handle really long names? easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/198/2789926884.jpg Not too well. :P Firebug ftw.

Anyways, that's all I've got really. Pretty good template overall. I'm liking the IC.

Har har, people with obnoxiously long names can have multiple lines. It's just dnt in the header because at the time I thought it looked good in lower case, I liked the font, and the font's uppercase sucked. Fixing the mark as read thing now, and thanks - the ic is one of my faves too.

Thanks for the rate

edit: Thank you anish too
edit2: tested the miniprofile thing - the max length is 30 so the longest a user will get their name is 2 lines which doesnt look that bad. if it is one word with no spaces then it'll stretch the MP a tiny bit

Whoops. Forgot about the cap on characters. I guess that'd make a difference then.

yeah. I guess I could set it to nowrap to prevent it from going to two lines, but I think two lines is better than stretching the miniprofile.

I'm liking the hits feature. :P I may steal that at some point. That's also a creative way to implement the PHP into the database.

Anyways, critiques...

1) Is it really necessary to show a category ("Admin Panel" for example) if the category has no codes? You're just wasting the user's time and they may not be happy about it.

2) Search is nice and smooth, but a dynamic search like that might slow some users computers. A full search might be helpful.

Not too much to critique on overall.

I'll go through and add a code to each section so I don't have to modify the whole script :P

I'll also be adding a full search feature then for people with slower computers.

The hits feature is neat, I just exploded the URL and sent that to the database. It was pretty fun to code :P

Users can also rate codes to separate better codes from less useful ones, dunno if you noticed that because you didn't rate any
