I thought that was pretty appropriate to share with you all today.

Speaking of dreams- what's yours? I know we all have one. Whether it be freedom, peace, dignity, equality, etc. Dr. King's was equality.

Here's a spiel from the speech I made at our assembly on Friday:

"In the words of Dr. King, 'This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.' Instead of going to the South with our faith, we walk back into the classrooms with that faith. As that faith is apparent on our sleeves and our hearts, let us remember that although we obtain more freedom than we did when Dr. King was still with us, we are no where near being free."

That's only part of it. But in our member's cases, it's not just classrooms. Workplaces, homes, etc. Remember, that we are the future. Decisions we make in our community and in our government sets us up for the future.
