I would rather have Game Deficiency than OS/Compatibility/Driver/Security deficiency. Agreed. Also, keep in mind that with the new intel macs, you can install windows and linux, as to where before, you could only install linux if you didn't want to use OS X. Also, with linux, you can use WINE to play games on your system.

You can use VMware Fusion to do it on the Mac. Not as good as on Windows (because it wasn't built for the Mac) but it works, nonetheless
