Even if it is possible (I am sure it is), why would you do that? It would allow smilies which do not match the skins. A lot of work went into making everything in these skins match correctly and it would be a shame to put that to waste. (I should know, I designed 3 skins for v3 last year)

Besides... it's just tacky.

This is the whole reason I haven't implemented the facepalm smiley. It's just... a pain. As Josh pointed out, we'd need at least 4 custom smilies for all the skins.

Also, we don't use pre-made codes. Ever.

Yeah... Chris is pretty much the best coder on Proboards. Everything on here is custom made.

He is the admin. The main admin account isn't used. Only for official statements. Check the posts made by it. Very few are personal (At least in the last few years). He's also been an admin at SoCal (whose former owner -was- the best coder on Proboards) and he's working at ProVision now I believe. This has been Chris's forum for the longest time.

Josh, whether I'm the best or not is highly debatable. Thanks, but I doubt I am.

Anyways, I am the "main" admin. I act more like a member besides the fact I do the updates. I don't use the "admin" account solely because it is an updates account. Joe and I decided that about a year into SZ.

I'm pretty sure you and Cali were neck and neck. It's a shame.

But anyone that argues you're not one of the best, is a nut-job.

I don't see myself personally using this. When I want a custom smiley I usually just post it within the image tag myself, as I have a listings and sometimes I have JavaScript disabled or am switching browsers too much.
