Recommend me an easier major where I can still get a decent job after 4 years. so not communications. not film. not poli sci. but I'd be open to almost anything else. thanks

Communications is actually a good one. I don't know how hard it is, but networking and security is a pretty good one. Just about every corporation uses lots of computers and needs jobs like that.

It's way too broad for a tough economy where you're gonna need specific skills. It's like majoring in business right now. I'm not saying it's impossible though. I mean if you get a lot of good internships and get good grades you can be well off, but the odds are against you.

Perhaps. It was just an idea, because honestly, I don't know.

Do what you want to do and not what is easiest...

Do what you want to do and not what is easiest... I agree. My plans could change, but when I get out of the Navy, I plan to go to school to becoming a recording artist. I really doubt this country needs any more studios to record music, but if I can work a full time job and own a studio, I'm happy. It doesn't have to pay the bills for me to be happy with it.

Maybe if you tell us somethings you like to do? Its best in life to like your job than to be doing it just for the money, because you will end up hating the job and your life in the end.

I'll take anything into consideration.

So I'm guessing you don't have the problem that I'm discovering I have now that Im apoplying to college. I know exactly what I want to do and what I don't want to do, the problem is, that there's more than one thing I want to do. I'm thinking about majoring in criminal justice, social work, something techy, or majoring in special education and getting a minor in art education. So, yeah.... Pretty much anything in computers is safe job wise. Special education is also a very good field, the only problem is there's not very many people suited to it. Teaching anything else besides special ed is kind of iffy, since most schools already have all the teachers they need and some are cutting back, but they're pretty much always going to be needing special ed. Criminal justice is pretty good job wise, I'll let you know more after I look into it a bit more.

Civil Engineering. Shit flows downhill. That's all you need to know.

One thing to keep in mind is that the market should stabilize by the time we graduate. If that's the case, finding a job should prove quite a bit easier. Or you could go into male prostitution.
