'Tis CS4, but no 3D tools were used. Just text tool, brush tool, pen tool and CTRL + T. You could do it with an CS Photoshop.

I like it, although it is too blurry, I think. Also, not sure how it would work on other backgrounds.

Nah. I'll just take your word for it. I still think it needs to be more crisp, though.

I get what you mean. I never thought it seemed blurry whilst making it... It's because when I brushed the shadows and highlights and blurred them to make them look better. I may have another crack at 3D logo design in the next few days of half term, but I doubt I'll have another chance soon... I'll have to wait...
