I'm tipping that you don't have DDS Tape drives...

With out the name of the application, it's gonna be hard to help.

If the program's goal was to theme Windows, that's most likely what it is. The icons just got changed to show that. I'd simply revert back to Aero in your display properties. I forgot exactly how to get to that page since the customization options are displayed differently in 7, but you should be able to find it if you right click on the desktop and click the link at the very bottom.

Ha, Stardock, no wonder...
(Stupid advice: If you're gonna skin, hack the Shell32.dll...)

I believe it's a problem with WindowBlinds (or what ever StarDock are calling it) not resetting reg keys it's messed with while it's clogging up you system.

Back up your registry and create a restore point and reset the icon manually:

Click Start, and type Regedit

Find (Ctrl + F) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ DriveIcons \ <drive>

Backup the branch and then delete the <drive> key.

Do the same for:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Applications \ explorer.exe \ Drives \ <drive>

Then reboot.

Be careful with the registry, changing the wrong key can be the difference between "Fixing up and Fucking up"...

Do not take advice colored in RED...
Can ya' tell I'm not a fan of StarDock..?

You do the thing I mentioned?

I use the reg all the time, I have a shit load of music so Media Player goes all renegade with the registry.
