Yeah, Google don't seem to be a malicious company - they've brought us so much, I don't mind what they take in return (within reason).

The advent of Google is such that any premeditated plan for world takeover is highly unlikely. Google is Google, they just want to be at the forefront of everything, and for the most part - succeed at doing just that. I trust Google, just because it's too huge to allow itself to be brought down by trivial privacy issues.
