Behold the HTC EVO 4G. I was already planning on switching to Sprint once my contract with AT&T was up in 9 months, but this phone here just solidified that decision. Absolute beast of a phone and looks damn good too, somehow. And it'll be the first 4G phone, too. In the words of Sprint execs, "Let AT&T and Verizon yak about maps and 3G coverage, we're moving forward with what customers really want -- lightening [sic.] fast internet and uncapped 4G service."

That's pretty cool, I must say. I've heard that over in Japan and Korea, they have like 11G or 12G. Is that true? I can't imagine it is, but maybe.

They're on 3G (probably rolling out 4G now, might be 6-12 months ahead on that side of things) the same as us, but their networks are far better from what I understand. Whereas our networks are just now getting the ability to use data and voice at the same time, Japan has had it for a long time. Their networks are just stronger and have a much higher capacity than ours do.

If the iPhone is anything like the last few releases, we'll get next to nothing. Maybe an all-aluminum shell, nothing more most likely. ><

A 1 Ghz processor is absolutely ridiculous. I love it.

Release date: June 4
AT&T is upping their early contact termination fee for smartphones on June 1. Coincidence? Seems unlikely. >.<
But yeah, this'll likely be the phone I end up going for as well. Not really sure how Sprint's network is, but I'm fairly certain it's better than AT&T's. Not that that says much, of course. >.<
