Some freshmen forgot to log out of their account in the writing center. So I'm s itting here on their account, wonderingw hat mischeif I should be getting up to. Or, y'know, I could be a good Upperclassmen and just leave the frosh alone.
This is the first time this has happened to me P: Only freshmen do shit like this, so I find this situation highly amusing. Everybody else knows to log out when they leave the computer labs / writing center.
Has anybody else found themself in this situation? What did you do?

I did this to someone once. I put porn in their student folder and labeled it README. Never found out if they got in trouble or not. lol

Mainly I just get annoyed that I have to spend time logging out and logging back in to get my files

I'm usually responsible. If someone leaves their FB logged in, I tend to do a harmless status change. (i.e. Tanya's status is still currently "om nom nom" since she fell asleep in class the other day.)

How would you like it if someone did that to you, and then you got in trouble? See, that's the thing. I had delved further into our security system than I think I was meant to and had to provide a password every time I wanted to write to my folder. It was a pain in the ass, but I was insanely overbearing when it came to computer security back then. Hell, to get into my account on the family computer back then you had to enter three different passwords. There was no way anyone was doing that to me. And honestly, I got a good laugh out of putting a picture of Alison Angel into some freshman's folder (I was a senior). At least I didn't put gay porn or something fetish-y. She's one of the hottest girls to ever grace the internet.

My buddy once forgot to log off his Facebook. I wrote an erotic poem involving maple syrup as his status, sent friend requests to a couple people I knew he hated, and started up really old inbox conversations. So all pretty harmless, but still hilarious.

Better yet, write a script that pops up a command line window that says something like "Pssh... behind you." And then carry on like that before ending with telling him to enter the numbers or face the consquences (Lost references ftw, of course)

It's different if you are friends and you get into each others facebook, but someone you don't know, and at a public school is just mean and immature. How do you figure? Harmless is harmless.

Does the school find out about porn and stuff like that?

Why? Have something to worry about? Yes. They know everything you do as long as you are using their internet connection. IP address, what you are using (ipod touch, ipad, laptop, etc). And where you have visited. They don't know what is in your folder (other than filetypes) without manually looking, though. Either way, there are ways around high school computer security.

How do you get porn without going on the internet. There are ways around being tracked. That or you had it on a flash drive. A friend had it on his flash drive so I just copy pasted.

Ubuntu on a thumb drive, what what? in the butt? Xuzi: My high school thought they had a good secure system. I bypassed the firewall in 4 hours, 2 of which were basketball practice. Most schools are weaker than ours too.

I was sooo tempted to put a file in there saying "You will NEVER know what I did to your account " without doing anything. Or putting allllll of their folders into one, and hiding that folder somewhere and leave them little clues as to it's whereabouts. But I had shit to do and half a period to do it in, so I didn't have time to. I just logged out and left it alone.
Best part was, after looking through their stuff I came to realize it was actually a senior who'd forgotten to, which would have made it all the funnier. But, yeah.
