www.macworld.com/article/2026635/apple-announces-128gb-ipad.htmlCan someone explain to me why you need 128 GB of space for an iPad? Am I the only one getting tired of Apple? Their support is crap and they rarely release patches, so to say. Like it takes 3-4 months for them to patch stuff and release it out, but the problem is that the patches aren't fixing some issues, such as the Grey Bar wifi issues that a lot of people including me are experiencing. What does their support tell me? "Reset it to factory default, lose everything but your paid stuff since we don't back up free, but we don't guarantee that's going to work. It's possibly, but not certain". ...

I second the notion of being tired of their shit. I'm 9,284% DONE with Apple, to be dead honest.

Obviously you're not the target audience for that iPad. What does it matter, it's not as if you can't get a smaller one if you don't need the space...

A lot of people seem to think that 64 GB is perfect for iPods, and yet I just hardmodded mine with a 240 GB SSD. Everyone wants different things and just because YOU think something is excessive doesn't mean everyone does depending on what they use it for.

The more, the better, and because Apple is a business, they're more inclined to release 3 different versions of the same exact product instead of just implementing (built-in) support for removable storage and releasing a single, superior product. They do have some great products, but they're a horrible company.

Doing it right! *thumbs up* And I put Rockbox on it because the iPod software is complete garbage.

Doing it right! *thumbs up* And I put Rockbox on it because the iPod software is complete garbage. Rockbox? And yeah, 240GB would be enough. Finally. Basically, I like to have all my music and music videos on my iPod so that when I have a passenger in my car, they can DJ to whatever they want. (My rule is the passenger is the DJ, as long as the songs are on my iPod.) That's currently above 70GB.... and my iPod is 16GB.

It's open source and available on nearly every major MP3 player out there (excluding touch screen players and anything past 5th gen iPods). Basically, it doesn't suck, and that's why I want it. Plus, it's customizable which is a bonus. As for 240, it may not be enough. I have roughly 220 GB of music, and after formatting, that's about how much space it has. Luckily, I haven't cleaned out duplicates and other junk yet, and I do have some music that I've obtained for other people and kept just on principle, but won't be heartbroken to exclude from my iPod.
