Yes and no. Once you learn one or two languages, you're able to be proficient in many others. the difference then is knowledge of external resources. >.< I know almost nothing about Java or Scala libraries, yet that's what I use for my job. Often times I get told "Oh, just use this library!" as an answer to an inquiry to my coworkers.
