looks freaky over the text..and what is that background for?If it is a background u should put a border around it

as Weeds said, borders are overused. They are only needed on certain pieces.

But if that IS the next SZv2, then add another color, monotonous skins suck.

Looks like a good idea. Though maybe have the Titanium look and make the background and other colors be a dark and slightly unsaturated blue?

Also...in 1024x768 (or at least for my shitty monitor) it looks simply some text with a gradient overlay...It could just be me because my motitor blurs pixels around the middle of the screen for some reason...but the right and left side of the screen isn't blurry...
But yeah... if it isn't just me the chrome look could use a look to add some depth to it and make it look more Titanium like.
