I used Gimp once and didn't like it very much. I ditched it after that.

I used to use the GIMP. I liked it alot, but then I got PSP and then PS. GIMP is a really good program, it's just lacking the amount of resources that PSP and PS have. What do you need tips on?

i can figure out how to do transparent boarders. and i dont know how to DL new font on to it.

Sure, no problem. And to add a font, all you need to do is add it to your computer and it should automatically update the font list in the GIMP. If you don't know how to add fonts I can help you out.

Anyways, Demonboy, I'm pretty sure Pixel2Life or Tutorialized should have some nice tutorials. I've seen and rated some of your work. I'd just fix up some of the banners and you'd get some pretty good signatures.
