1. diagonal

1. Create a new document 5*5 pixels with a transparent background.
2. Zoom in to 1600 percent.
3.Pull out the pencil tool and set it to 1 pixel.
Make a diagonal line across the center like so

4. Go to edit then define pattern and name it what you would like.
5. To test out open a new document click edit then go down to fill. Click the arrow and select your scanlines.
Note: If you want your scanlines facing in another dierection when you make the line make it the other way like so.

2. Verticle scanlines

1. Open a new document transparent background 3*1 pixels.
2. Zoom to 1600 percent.
3. Use the 1 pixel pencil tool and make a dot in the center like so
4. Go to edit then define pattern and name it what you would like.
5. To test out open a new document click edit then go down to fill. Click the arrow and select your scanlines.

3. Horizantal scanlines.

1. Open a document 2*1
2. Zoom into 1600 percent
3. Pull out the pencil tool at one pixel and make a mark like so
4. Go to edit then define pattern and name it what you would like.
5. To test out open a new document click edit then go down to fill. Click the arrow and select your scanlines.

4. Dots
This will create an effect like so

1. Create a new document 3*3 pixels with a transparent background.
2. Zoom in to 1600 percent.
3.Pull out the pencil tool and set it to 1 pixel.
4. Make a dot in the center like so.

4. Go to edit then define pattern and name it what you would like.
5. To test out open a new document click edit then go down to fill. Click the arrow and select your scanlines.

Wow! I never had a clue how people got those dots and stuff.... Thanks. :) I'll have to try this out.

I discovered that 5.0 doesn't have the define pattern option. :( I'm doing it as a huge brush.... I hope to get 7.0 soon, though, so this will still have helped me. :P
