I haven't played too many Sonic games (just this, the first SA, and a few of the old 2-D ones), but this was good. It lasted a while since you had two sides to the story, and there was a bundle to do outside of the main mode.
It got really hard once you tried to collect the later emblems...I never got all of them (how many were there...180 or something?).

I've finished the game, and it is quite hard to gather the special emeralds and rings. You'd have to try and go at specific places in the game to get them.

i have not played sonic since the sega and was wondering if you would suggest it because its been so long I forgot what the whole point to sonic was....

I find two player is far better than 1-Player, only because of the cometition.  I used to play this game all the time. Stopped though. I don't know why. Maybe it was because I started playing SSBM? I dunno. o.o
