Blockbuster was near bankruptcy?

I've heard some bad things about both these companies.

Circuit City flat out sucks compared to Best Buy. Blockbuster is being put out of business by NetFlix, Live Marketplace, iTunes, and Gamefly (or whatever the Online Game rental place is called). They've been closing stores, laying off employees, etc. for about a year now. Last November it was being reported that Blockbuster was looking to sell before it closed up completely.

I saw this video once, it was a buddy who set a background screen cat program to record what geeksquad did to his laptop, they we're going through his porn lol.

Interesting story of the day.

I'm not gonna lie, I probably would've done the same. That's just awesome.

Best Buy is indeed better than Circuit City. In fact, our Circuit City here closed.

But yeah... I swore Blockbuster was about to go bankrupt. This is an interesting turn of events. o.o

Growing up I never would have expected blockbuster to even come close to bankruptcy, it's kind've funny now that I think about it.

Yeah, of the many video rental store chains, Blockbuster was the LAST one I expected to lose out to the online delivery rental stores, especially because Blockbuster also has the mail rental system now.

It's easy to lose when you aren't the first to do it. Nor are you the cheapest. Nor the easiest.

Circuit City > Best Buy.


Around my town that's true for the service, especially with car audio and the like.

But the customer service and warranty stuff is a lot better with Circuit City. They'll take it in without question, send a reminder in the mail saying the warranty is almost up, etc.

Blockbuster sucks too .

That's a good warranty system. o.o I'd like that if they ever did that here. (For any company. )

And yeah, I never saw Blockbuster going down... then again, I did stop going there like 6 years ago, when my dad switched to Netflix and I started getting paid so I bought games instead of renting.

i dont see how blockbuster would be in a financial state to even consider buying circuit city but i guess i could see them wanting to add them to the corporation as there losing money hand over fist with every fiscal year that goes bye.
