Dunno where you heard AVG was bad because it's supposedly the BEST free antivirus there is.

AVG's free? I have no idea.  I use AVG and Avast! It's better to have two anti-virus running at the same time. Filter everything twice.

I use a combination of AVG and Zonealarm. Personally, I think that Norton filters out viruses too strictly,and because of its coding, it takes control of the PC and it drags the OS slow.

Anyway, I guess I'll try AVG, even though no one's really confirmed what kind of "real-time protection" it has.
