www.crunchgear.com/2009/05/06/duke-nukem-never-3d-realms-shut-down/All jokes aside (and they were terrific jokes), but how does it take you over a decade to work on a game. And NOT finish it? Supposedly they were making headway, and by supposedly I guess they were kidding because I can understand how over 10 years of funding something that doesn't exist can hurt your company. Switching devs, making new engines, whatever, something else was going on. It's probably for the better. Its release would've been the first sign for the horsemen to come down and rain blood on us all. R.I.P. Duke Nukem Forever 1997-2009 goodnight sweet prince

I'll quote myself from another thread at another site on this:
Plot twist: Jesus was Duke Nukem.... so now, in 3 days (or 3 months in 3D Realms time) DNF will return.

Uuum, this doesn't mean Duke Nukem Forever isn't coming out. It's up to Take-Two, if they want to find a new developer, if they don't, than it is dead.

Uuum, this doesn't mean Duke Nukem Forever isn't coming out. It's up to Take-Two, if they want to find a new developer, if they don't, than it is dead. something tells me they want to get rid of it and cut their losses short. some games make it after multiple delays and different devs, but nothing of this proportion.
