www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/technologynews/5720517/Land-Rover-unveils-worlds-toughest-phone.html

"During testing they ran over it with a Land Rover, submerged it in mud and had an elephant stand on it to test its durability.

The S1 features up to 1,500 hours of battery life, a 2.0 megapixel camera and an extra loud ringtone to be heard over the sound of heavy machinery."

Did you not read that it's designed for construction workers? Honestly, I'm pretty sure they'd care a bit.

Submerged it in mud really doesn't mean anything. Other phones have done the same thing, that accounts for it being "splash proof." Drop it in water and that puppy is as good as gone.

actually, even if you drop a phone in water, if you let it dry for at least 24 hours, most phones will still work fine :P

I beg to differ. I lost a phone after I stood in the rain for 3 hours.

Hmm, if I expose my cell to the wind, it'll never work again!
