I don't totally recall specifics, but here's a general outlook on how my music went.

When I was growing up, I listened to ZZ Top, Meatloaf, KISS, AC/DC, and Queen. I remember because I didn't really listen to much else (other than random shit on the radio, all classic rock) and I still listen to those bands today. Then I moved on to pop. Backstreet Boys and Brittney Spears and shit. Later, on to hip hop like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the like. After that, because of my sister's tastes, I got into bands like Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, and other "nu" metal (not real nu metal most of the time). After that, I was getting into harder bands like Hatebreed and Chimaira, and eventually tried to find the heaviest metal I could. That's when I got into death metal (Cannibal Corpse and Deicide at first). Later, my taste in metal started to expand, later my taste in music did. Now, I listen to everything. Literally. Rap. Metal. Blues. Country. Jazz. Swing. Classic Rock. Classical. Punk. Techno. All of it. As long as it's good.

Jeez...

I think from 2000 to 2002, my favourite was Kid Rock.

Then 2002-2005, it was classic heavy metal like Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden.

2005-2007, I got into Power Metal and favourite bands were Edguy and Sonata Arctica.

2007-2009, I began a foray into country music (girlfriend liked it). But my favourite band/artist would definitely be Warren Zevon.

2010: Zevon's still riding high. Springsteen's a favourite, too. Getting into the Red Dirt Country scene, with bands like Reckless Kelly and Cross Canadian Ragweed.
