I've not really worn hoodies until recently, and all I have is pullover ones. Thinking about it now, a zip up would be a lot more convenient

I prefer zip up ones, but pullovers look better. They tend to hang better, I guess. I have a problem with my zip up ones shrinking up for some reason. Like since it's not always zipped up, the elastic shrinks more easily? I don't know.

i prefer pull over ones but doesn't really matter too me i guess.

I wear zip ups far more often now. That's new, though. I used to hate them.

I like 'em both. If it's colder out, I'll wear a pullover hoodie. If it's a bit warmer so I'll be taking it off/on, then I wear the zip up.

I'm getting a zipup.. now to choose which. I have a bunch I'm considering. BTW Lucifer, I wear medium shirt size, think I need large for hoodie? Because I'm pretty close to the large size, but not heavy enough really.. but if it shrinks I'm screwed.

If it's just going by favorite band it would be between baroness and mastodon, but for some reason I really like black cobra's, simple yet elegant. And ex deo's is awesome too. But Kylesa is awesome too but I don't really like the front of the hoodie. Tips?

Neither, I don't like hoodies, period. Besides, they're banned in some places in the UK.

But for practical reasons, I'd go with the zip if I had to.

First of all, your taste in music definitely kicks ass. Mad props for the Gojira avatar.

As for size, I'm really not sure. You might want a size larger. I'm finding that I need a size larger, because no matter how well the hoodie fits when I try it on, mine tend to shrink up. All of them in somewhat different ways. Yet, I have one (a large like all of mine) that fits like an extra large and another large that fits like a medium. The other two are basically the same, but just shrunk up a bit for some reason.

So yeah, it doesn't hurt to get a bigger one. They're always more comfortable. The only problem is that sometimes wearing oversized clothes looks terrible, but if you're not too worried about looks or something as minor as that MAYBE being the case, go for a size larger.

Edit: I'm gonna assume based on its looks that the Mastodon one is fairly similar to my Necrophagist one, and that one is almost a size smaller because of the way it shrinks. If you get the Mastodon one (as a huge Mastodon fan, I'd recommend it), definitely go for a size up.

Yes, but like any materials, they will shrink, some more than others.

OK well I narrowed it down to mastodon and baroness. I like mastodon maybe a little better but they are kind of.. what's the word.. trendy? Baroness hoodie design is cool but only thing I don't like is that the band name is on the hood.. so it just appears to be a hoodie with a weird design on it, not a band hoodie. Dunno.
