grasslind.com/Be sure to search this site thoroughly. When you have, you'll probably be asking the same thing I am: what the fuck?! **SPOILERS** Assuming you've browsed it now, what is up with it? There is no actual information about this company whatsoever. All of the pictures are seemingly of nothing, though all from the same area. There's a link to this blog in the FAQ section. And the Future Projects area. Seriously. wat?

No, it doesn't seem hacked. It seems like it might be a hoax, at least part of it, but seriously, what's the story? Also, this: twitter.com/ChristineRobbinThat's the Twitter for the person who owns the blog they mentioned.

It's a viral advertising campaign. Not sure what it is for, but it seems a lot like the 1-18-08 campaign. Considering the latest Abrams film is an Area 51 film that has an alien escape supposedly being covered up by the government as an environmental disaster, I would not be surprised if this were for Super 8. EDIT: Look at the Twitter account of the blogger. Everything says "help me" in various capitalization patterns. The only thing that doesn't says "Lol The Cleveland Show is soooooooooo funny!!!!!!!" Fox is the producer of The Cleveland Show as well as Abrams current hallmark, Fringe, and has had ties to Spielberg in the past. Might be irrelevant, but I don't think so. EDIT2: If you remember the 1-18-08 campaign, it focused largely around Slusho Industries. Granted, Abrams had been using Slusho for years before that campaign started so everyone knew what it was for, but it is very much like him to create a fictional corporation for his campaigns. He's done it repeatedly for Lost as well. EDIT3: Maybe I am wrong. Domain was registered by this guy and I have no idea of a connection between him and Abrams. EDIT4: The guy is a huge fan of Lost from what I can tell and says that he makes indie films and seems to be a fairly respected writer. EDIT5: How did you come across the site? I would imagine that the original site was a stepping stone and has to do with this one quite a bit.

Good detective work And if it is for a movie, I'm definitely seeing it. I think that's probably what it is. [/size]

It's a viral advertising campaign. Not sure what it is for... Seems to be working... Most viral campaigns do. The best ones, by far, were 1-18-08, The Dark Knight, and Year Zero (the Nine Inch Nails album)

No, it's not, Josh. That website is a result of one of that guy's flash cartoons, GrasshopperlanD. We know who made it and we know it's bullshit. We just couldn't figure out why (by "we", I meant /x/). It's been figured out before, but a bunch of us who weren't apart of that a few months ago were trying to figure it out last night. I went to sleep before anyone figured the rest out.

Ah. Well... sure seems like a viral site to me. It'd have to be viral if that were the case. It's been up for over 6 months, I believe. I only know about it through /x/. It's by no means popular, let alone viral.

Anyone click the "Future Projects" button? No. None of us did. We were all sitting here discussing it being a viral site because of the grasshopper in the corner.
