I love when clients hear web terms, but don't really know what they mean. So they love to use them, I'm sure everyone remembers the overuse of "Web 2.0" and "DHTML." In fact, you probably remember the overuse of "AJAX." But I just thought I'd make this thread because I have a client like that now. Half of the features he requested were along the lines of:
"Guests need AJAX." "This page needs AJAX." "Can we put some AJAX on the home page?"
When I read this I laughed, then cried for humanity.

You should see some of the boards on ZetaBoards or InvisionFree. 3/4 of the time, AJAX isn't even needed for the types of things people want.. but they use it anyway.

SZ needs more AJAX in general.
Yeah, buzzwords are always a common thing that people use when they don't know what they're talking about.

I think you should take some AJAX and mix it with some CSS3, merge in some HTML5, and then when you have a working Canvas, you can use the SVG to make the new audio & video tags awesome.
