Hi root, Please remember that anything I say is meant to help you, not upset you. As a fellow designer, I'm glad that you have decided to try your hand at designing. With some practice, I'm sure you will be producing some amazing work. I have to agree with marshmallow that the skin looks unfinished. It's hard to read some of the text, like: - The nav tree (Roots Test Forum :: Home)
- The title text (The black text on the dark blue image)
- The "Link to Post - Back to Top" in posts
I know you had good intentions with the gradients you used on the forum, but sometimes, it's possible to go overboard - the search page is an example of that. If designing is something you like doing, keep working hard!

Looks decent.
I recommend removing this image (http://i.imgur.com/Upzil.gif),
and replacing it with some simple, centered & colored text.
