First of all, I figured that this board needed something to give it a kick, since it's last post was way back on December 21st. Anyway, to the point, I saw this article at Slashdot, and I was just wondering people's views on it. It basically talks about how people in the IT industry, especially support peoples, publicly refer to customers as stupid, "lusers," or other things. They also link to an article at ItOughtToBeSimple, and ThinkGeek. There is a reference to this shirt, also at ThinkGeek. So basically, are you guilty of being mean to people that ask for help, whether it's online or offline? I know that when people in the real world ask me for help with a computer problem, I try to be nice, but it's easy to lose your temper, especially when they ask "how do I make a folder," or "what's My Computer?"

Heh. I'm guilty, but I've become better recently. One person with the patience of a saint was Cody/Cali. That guy didn't get frustrated ever, except once when someone said he ripped. Heh. That was really funny.

Yep...i'm a complete asshole. Nah, i'm basically devoid of emotion when filling requests. And apparently when you don't add a smile or a wink someone in your response, you're an asshole. There was also that incident with Shin.

Don't forget that rant with ocean on DX5. That was so stupid. It was like a live episode of Monty Python or something. We had ocean vs. about 5 people, me included. We all lost it.

The guy claimed that he made DreamWeaver, are we really supposed to believe that?

Well... I mean... there was probably like 40 people working on the Dreamweaver project... you never know Actually, he said his brother made it, then Macromedia took it over, and then Adobe took over it again.
