If I ever feel like giving up I take a break and get fresh air. I'm horrible at teaching my self things, but I love programming so much that I want to do it as my career. At the moment though I'm not all that great; I just don't understand simple syntax at times. I'm good at memorizing things, but not great at putting it into action. I learned HTML when I was 10 or 11 so it took me a while, and Javascript is going the same way. Once I get Javascript down enough I'm going to php. Chris, I remember you saying that you aren't going to be a programmer as a career so what do you plan on doing? A bit off topic, but I'm looking into engineering mainly. I may try computer sciences, but I'm still undecided. I may just double major in both.

Interesting because that was what I planned on doing before I decided to code (got a long ways to go, but I have potential ) Your dad doesn't program does he? I may be thinking of somebody else, but I remember someone who had a dad or mom who was a computer programmer.
