Well I am studying JavaScript and it's so hard!!! Do you ever get the feeling of like giving up after learning too much and it's too hard for you? I do and I feel like giving up but I don't want to

you should never give up because something is too hard.... the secret is to break things down and learn it in little pieces that way its all gonna stick... my advice is write down what your learning... take it to bed with you and read it before you go to bed.... your brain will run through it while your sleeping... you'll be surprised at the results.

Having handicaps or disabilities doesn't prevent you from being able to read and remember, well technically they could, but you seem to be fine at reading, so what is the problem. I find remember stuff easy, and I hate quitters, so I won't let myself give up.

Honestly, you just gotta stick with it. If you're doing JavaScript, you need to make sure you have a full understanding of HTML first. CSS and XML can help, but aren't needed however.

I have OCD do you know how hard it is to just write HTML without repeating it over and over again just because I found a ' or " missing Tho i seem to have no problem what so ever making typos because it seems perfect when i make typos >.< LOL, its coding , you gotta see it as fun and just keep at it until it actually works out, and god i love FF for its spelling fixer thingy. XD

Chris, it's the same with HTML, even though people say it's easy, it's so hard for me to learning. Yeah, I am also Learning XHTML but I'll try and learn very hard but that'll make me very unactive here

I know exactly what you mean. I didn't do any serious Java programming for a couple of months, and when I tried to get back into it, I was hurting

Not XHTML, XML. They're two different languages.

Hmmm, Chris, you're quite a bit wrong(No offence). I'm learning XHTML, not XML.

I'm sure he figured you'd made a typo. Regardless, if we want to get technical, teaching yourself XHTML in turn teaches you fundamental XML (and vice-versa).

I misunderstood what you meant actually. I thought you had mistaken what I said and thought I said to learn XHTML instead of XML.

Well I am learning XHTML, Not XML. ((Ok, I think we should go back on topic ))

I can't remember too well, but when I was learning HTML I think it was pretty easy for me, as with CSS. JavaScript can be hard I agree, but once I see something I tend to learn it, or save it to notepad to learn it. I'm surprised there is so much easy and basic stuff I haven't bothered to learn, like Chris just taught me how to reuse functions with parameters and such.

If I ever feel like giving up I take a break and get fresh air. I'm horrible at teaching my self things, but I love programming so much that I want to do it as my career. At the moment though I'm not all that great; I just don't understand simple syntax at times. I'm good at memorizing things, but not great at putting it into action. I learned HTML when I was 10 or 11 so it took me a while, and Javascript is going the same way. Once I get Javascript down enough I'm going to php.
Chris, I remember you saying that you aren't going to be a programmer as a career so what do you plan on doing?
