I never liked "Game" boards. It's just a reason to spam. I think a contest board with a weekly contest or something (not SoTW) could work, however.

Forum games could be hard to keep up and become if they were not allready spam,Mostly only noob forums keep them for post count.

He meant disable it so a user's post count doesn't raise up with game threads. If we do add such a board, I plan to do a monthly (or so) clean out of all old threads so that it doesn't make our post count larger than it really is.

I know, and I went along with what Scott said and stated that even though you could disable the user's post count, you couldn't keep the board's posts from raising the forum's overall count. Which is the purpose of threads like "count to 1000." I don't know where you got lost in the translation. I even italicized "forum" for you.

I think forums game boards are entirely pointless.
Even more so when it has been stated that the post count will be
disabled. That's just a waste of time. Why not take that time, and
post in threads around SZ? Also, you could create new threads
which in return other members would post in.
Unless forums have an actual arcade with real games, the boards
are indeed pointless and annoying.
Also, my experience with them, that's where the most fights
break out between memebrs.

I agree with Corey this board would take post from othe rboards while the members just stay in the games board for nothing when no post countis raised

Members do get flamed, but what's the point of starting a fight? If you start a fight, you have to be expectant of punishment. With game boards, there really is no second chance. Maybe make a list of all the people who started fights and then ban them from the game board?
But I'm still all for it. Give it a test run, and see how it turns out.

Wow, a lot of forum game haters. I see nothing wrong with them. They are a great way for the members to interact with each other without starting new threads.
