Ok, I got my three layers into ImageReady, but for the life of me I don't know how to do the last part of Step 6. I can't figure out how to make it so only one one layer shows at a time.

if you press the black "eye" in the layer pallet this toggles layer visability then you can add the next frame.. change it to another layer and another frame.. etc

Sure.  One thing I noticed was that 60 opacity on the layers was a little much, so I used around 30.

did u set the blending mode to screen? with 60%... cuz if you didnt then it would be to much, but if u did and still thought that ok looks nice though
