Yeah, Final Fantasy VII would be my first FF game that I have ever beaten. It is also the first PS1 game I've ever beaten. I know, I'm a little behind, but this summer, I have more time than before. I am a little disappointed in but proud of myself. I beat the game a lot earlier than I expected and with stats at a lower level than I thought necessary. My main party was at level 69 (I thought 99 was needed to beat the final bosses). I didn't have KotR or W-Summon or final weapons equipped. The only shameful thing was that I didn't thoroughly "finish" the game. I did not fight the WEAPON monsters or get any master materias, etc. -_-" Quick question: Is there anything after the starscape where the prelude plays at the end? I might just have to go back and do the final things over again.

Congrats. It's always a great feeling to know you beat your first FF game. FF7 was a good choice for that too. Next try FF2 for the SNES (or FF4 for PS1. They're the same game I believe.)

There's nothing after the infinite starry night thing at the end. Trust me, FF7 was my first FF game and I sat there a while expecting something.
But it's not necessary to get your party members up to max stats, especially for the pretty easy final bosses. Well everything's easy with KotR. Same probably goes for most RPG's.
Congrats, though, I liked it a lot. Even though everyone hates it now pretty much for its popularity.
