Okay, since the last thread pretty much backfired in my face, I'll keep this short and sweet. I need contest ideas for when the GCT is over, which it will be fairly soon. We have Name the Game going on, but that's pretty continuous and doesn't really offer any prizes. I'm drawing a blank right now, but if anyone could actually post so I could set up something up to lead in with after the GCT, I would appreciate it. Maybe I could give you a low five, since I've given out so many high fives already and they seem cheap by now.

Then why put questions in the title? Well, personally I think more emphasis should be put on the "Name the Game" game. It can be really quite a fun thing for members to participate in and could bring in more activity (like what it had earlier on.) Maybe some other form of games could be interesting... though, unfortunately, nothing comes to mind. One thing to consider contest wise might be a "create your own game" contest. It'd all be conceptual. I'm not how sure it'd work, how much interest there would be, or how incredibly difficult to judge it'd be, but I figure it's worth mentioning and you thinking about.

Then why put questions in the title? Because every time I put "ideas" or "suggestions" in a topic title people avoid it like the plague. Even the plague avoids it. If you think we should expand Name the Game, I agree, but don't know how. So I would need more ideas. Create a game might be too complicated, but it's a good starting thought process. Just need to think it out.

Very true. We tend to. One thing for Name the Game could be you have three games up at once... (numbered 1-3 or just use the eighty-blah numbers that are currently there.) Then, a user can name any of the three. HOWEVER, they can only guess at one at a time. They have to wait until another user replies to post another answer. (Or maybe until you reply? Your call.)

Hm, I like that. That also made me think of the idea of doing team-based contests. Name the game would be just one example where we could have teams squaring off against each other.
