Well it's finally over. What began in August has finished with a duel to the death in March. Through 31 separate rounds our nominations have fought for the recognition of being SZ's best video game character, for whatever that's worth.

In our final bout, Link has edged out Mario, in what could only be described as a match of epic proportions, by the slim margin of 8-7. The vote turnout was much better this time around, but that's (hopefully) to be expected with all the stickies everywhere.

Two titans went in. One came out. Link is the winner of the game character tournament.

Unfortunately, no one receives any points, and thus no one gets the huge 32 point bonus, which admittedly wouldn't have affected much. In any case, Matt is your GCT champion, totaling 120 points and ending up in first place after being at the bottom of the standings for quite a while.

Talk to Chris for your reward. I really didn't have anything lined up, but I'm guessing as long as your demands aren't that we make you a whole new forum commemorating your victory, we'll do it. PM me for details and then I'll run it over with CD.

Comments and feedback would also help in forming a new contest that I'm currently developing. I've put this in a separate paragraph so no one "accidentally" skips it over.

So there you have it. The standings you've seen below for months are now final.
