So, as some of you may know, I was out of town the last two days for my grandfather's funeral. When we were all sitting around talking after the services, it somehow got brought up that apparently there is a warranty on the casket. Now, I'm not quite sure about this, but what are they gonna do if you have to use the warranty? Dig up the casket and replace it?
Anyone else find stupid stuff like this that really doesn't have much sense behind it?

First, sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Second, maybe that warranty's a way to make extra money for people who are paranoid that something'll happen to it before the procession.
Third, maybe that one company has an underground contract with the local grave diggers in case a warranty issue crops up.
But really I don't know.

I've heard of using rented tuxedos for funerals, but this is a new one. Give me the number and I'll call the customer support on it. Let's see how long they awkwardly pause.

What? Do you mean you didn't already know that?

If I had the number, I'd give it to you. I'm not up there anymore.

Gravediggers i would think be one reason. Maybe incase of any damages that might happen to it, like it caves in etc.... or any mother nature damages. Thats all i can think of, couldn't really tell why.

sorry to hear about that Chris.
you're most likely right Arucard. that makes sense.

I believe it's only a 5 year warranty though. That's what makes it strange.

yea the warranty is probably in case of stupid people, or natural disasters, or maybe just in case a nuclear war breaks out

More then anything, I think it's an excuse to make more money.
