In case your head has been buried the past couple of days, here's a link to let you know what it's all about. What are your thoughts? Do you really think we might get sucked into a mini black hole, or will we destroy the surrounding land area due to the collision or what? I'm gonna be honest, it's kind of freaking me out.

The math supporting an artificial black hole states that it would only be able to stay open for mere nanoseconds. The machine would be destroyed by nothing else.

Seriously I've talked to a few professors about this, it's nothing to be worried about and the press is just dramatizing the whole thing for a good story. Or so they say....

Well all seemed to go successfully, though it was just a single beam of protons at a slower speed

The HL reference is epic... but the 2012 coincidence is just... uncanny. I'm scared now.
