The best part? I hear that the new site will search your history, bookmarks, cookies, and cache for anything Proboards related in it. If it finds anything in your browser, ever, it automatically sends a T-1000 out to deal with you.

A lot of upload sites have had to do this recently. With increasing demand, comes increasing costs. Non-corporate sponsored services don't have the resources to handle it. So making it invite only allows controlled growth.

Invite only = lockerz lockerz = slow and buggy  Yes. Because Lockerz is the only site to ever be invite only. Ever hear of this site called Gmail? You may have heard of it. Seems to be kinda popular. Anyway, point is that it started out invite only and was invite only for nearly three years. During that time, it became quite possibly the most popular webmail service around among the internet generation. Seriously. Use. Your. Brain. For once. Just think with an ounce of logic before you post stupid things like that.

I saw this about a week ago I think. Don't remember how. Either way, this doesn't surprise me. Wrighty still has the server and domain, and it isn't worth it to waste it... so he might as well start an invite only service, and then expand to having a paid service component as well.
